The flight from Bali to Singapore is a short one, but when I stepped off the plane, I could immediately feel the difference in vibe. If Bali is a laid back vacation stop, Singapore is a fast-paced international business destination. Everyone seemed like they had somewhere to be, and the airport customs experience was an absolute machine. One of the most well organized airports I've ever been through. After Bryan and I got out of customs, it became really clear how gorgeous the airport itself really is. We decided to not look at the Jewel (indoor waterfall) until we came back to pick up our other friends who were landing later that night. We were starving. It was around lunchtime when we landed, and we still had around five hours till our friends My and Cayman arrived. We decided to leave the airport to get some food from a food hall close-by. Luckily, Bryan had parked his car at the airport, so we had a way back!
We do look much happier than the girl behind us in this first photo.
Also, I feel as though I need to make a shout-out to the parking place finder in the Airport parking lots, it does impeccable work.
When we arrived at the food hall, the food we got was amazing. We ordered a crab omelet, along with a delicious stir fry served with Tonkatsu. There was so many options, however, it made it hard to choose. Everything looked and smelled so good! And then, immediately after, we went to Bryan's favorite boba place. Little did I know this would be the first of many trips. It was amazing! The tea at this place is far more "tea heavy" than the milk and sugar type boba in the US. Part of the reason it tases so good is because the company invented what is essentially a tea coffee machine, where they pack and press tea just like people would an espresso, which means every boba has fresh brewed tea. I wish we had one of these in the US.
After the meal and boba, it was time for us to go back to the airport to pick up our friends. We waited for them inside the massive airport and received them one by one.
Saw this icon on the way back. Love the ride.
It was absolutely amazing to have so many friends all together. Bryan was especially ecstatic, because when he started telling us to go to Singapore he never thought it would really happen. He couldn't wait to show us his home. We were all excited to be together. We had a quick snack, then headed back to the apartment we were staying at and caught up about our summer for the rest of the night. We conked out early because we knew tomorrow would be packed, and we were all tired from traveling.
